The revised statement is more negative because of the word forced.

Answer: A - It is less personal.

Although the word force has a negative weight, the word choice on the revised statement from the passage indicates that it is less personal because it means that the person's opinion, will and choice are not involved in the process. Contrary to the original statement that she says 'my parents encouraged me to register to vote.'
