the complete question in the attached figure
Part A)
what are the dimensions of the garden?
we know that area of rectangle is
Area rectangle=91 ft²
[Area rectangle]=b*h--------> (2x+3)*(2+x)------> 4x+2x
²+6+3x
2x²+7x+6=91--------> 2x²+7x-85=0
using a graph tool-----------> to resolve the quadratic equation
see the attached figure
the solution is
x=5 ft
so
2x+3------> 13 ft
2+x-------> 7 ft
the answer Part A) is 13 ft x 7 ft
Part B)
How many feet of fencing does he need to buy?
[perimeter of rectangle]=2b+2h-------> 2*13+2*7--------> 26+14------> 40 ft
the answer Part B) is 40 ft
