ABC undergoes a dilation, with a scale factor of 6, to form A’B’C’

Side A’B’ is 6 times the length of slide AB

what is the area of A’B’C, compared to the area of ABC?

Given that ABC has gone a dilation with scale factor of 6 to form A'B'C'. The linear scale factor of the triangles is 6. Thus when we compare the areas of the two triangles we shall use the area scale factor which is given by:
area scale factor=(linear scale factor)²
hence
area scale factor=6²
thus we conclude that the area of A'B'C' is 36 times the area of ABC
