I guess you wan to find the value of x
LHS= 2(3x+4)-5(1-2x) = 6x+8 -(5-10x)
= 6x+8+10x-5 =16x +3
RHS= 7(2x-3)+12 = 14x-21+12=14x -9
since LHS=RHS
16x+3=14x-9 (by subtracting 14x from both sides)
2x +3 = -9 (by subtracting 3 from both sides)
2x =-12 (divide both sides by 2)
x = -6

Stage 1: SIMPLIFY
6x+8-5+10x = 14x - 21 + 12

Stage 2: COMBINE LIKE TERMS
16x + 3 = 14x - 9

Stage 3: SOLVE
2x = -12
x = -6

Hope this helps!
