How would you feel if a modern president went outside the Constitution to do something that he felt was best for the country?

I would feel a sense of hope somehow that there are still good people in the world (not saying there aren't.) I would also feel uncomfortable though because the Constitution was made to protect people, and what would be the point of going out of it?
