The quadratic function is f(x) = 2x^2 + 1.
The line is g(x) = 2x
Use www.cymath.com and enter the following line and press enter.
graph y = 2x^2 + 1; y = 2x

You will see that the line passes through the origin (0, 0), and goes up to the right and stays to the right of the parabola, so the two graphs do not intersect.
