Answer: x = 1

The given line x = -5 is a vertical line through -5 on the x axis. Every point on this line has an x coordinate of -5. Similarly, the line x = 1 has all of its points with x coordinate of 1. One of those points is (1,4). Any vertical line has an undefined slope. Any two vertical lines are parallel to one another.
