Sample size /Universal Set, n(U) = 50 n(McD ∩ BK) = 14 n(McD) = 36 n(BK) = 24 N(McD ∪ BK) = n(McD)+n(BK)-n(McD ∩ BK) = 36+24-14 = 46 46 respondents like either McDonald's or Burger King. Hence number of children that did not like either restaurant = n(U)-n(McD ∪ BK) = 50-46 = 4
