Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease or COPD is an inflammatory disease of the lung causing obstructed flowing of air. This includes Emphysema and Chronic Bronchitis. The main cause of this disease is long exposure to things damaging the lungs such as cigarette smoking thus the 65 years old patient has this and has symptoms such as frequent, productive cough of thick, pale yellow mucous and cyanosis.
