Aunt Alexandra comes to town, because she wants to teach  Scout how to be more ladylike. She and Atticus have made this arrangement without Scout being aware of it, so she is not happy about Aunt Alexandra's arrival. She continues to feel unenthusiastic about Aunt Alexandra's presence for the duration of her stay, as Scout has very little in becoming Aunt Alexandria's idea of a lady.
