How do the immune system and the respiratory system worl together

Let’s say you get an infection in your lungs. Your immune system will fight the infection using white blood cells. The oxygen gathered by the respiratory system is passed through the blood stream and supplied the muscles with oxygen, which is necessary for muscles to move.
