Point source pollution is a form of contamination found in the air, ground or water that comes from a single identifiable source. It is called point source because it can be traced to one exact point and thus measured. For example noise pollution from a specific factory; light pollution from a light, such as a street light, that shines directly into a house; water pollution from water treatment centers.
