In the cannon bard theory of emotion, the thalamus send simultaneous messages to the cortex and autonomic nervous system. The cannon bard theory state that we feel emotion and experience physiological reaction such as sweating, trembling and muscle tension simultaneously. Emotion and bodily change do not share a cause and effect relationship rather they occur simultaneously following stimulating event.
