Emile Durkheim was a French social scientist and the founder of the French school of sociology.
Emile Durkheim argued that the stronger society is integrated and committed to common goals, forming what he called a collective conscience,the more deviant behavior is controlled. The collective conscience includes shared beliefs, ideas, attitudes, and knowledge that are common to a social group or society.
