we are asked to graph an equation using 2 variables.
the 2 variables in the equation are as follows;
y = total cost of taxi ride
x = number of miles travelled per taxi ride
we need to write the equation in slope- intercept form
y = mx + c
m = gradient /slope
mx = cost per mile travelled x number of miles travelled
c= intercept. a fixed cost for every taxi ride
m = $2.50 per mile
c = $3
the graph equation is as follows;
y = 2.50x + 3
