What is the median of the numbers 8.7, 8.7 8.9, 9.0, 9.1, 9.2? I know I'm supposed to find the middle number, but there's an even amount of numbers here. So I'm supposed to find the average of the two middle numbers, which are 8.9 & 9.0. What does it mean when it says I'm supposed to "find the AVERAGE of the two middle values"?

The average is 8.9+9=17.9
17.9/2=8.95.
So, that means the median or middle number is 8.95.

Also, you have to add the 2 middle numbers and divide it by 2 to find the median if there is an even amount of numbers.

Hope this helped☺☺

it means that you add them two together and divide by 2
