A mitosis inhibitor is a medication that is designed to prevent mitosis in certain cells. How could these be helpful in the treatment of tumors?

Hi!

This can be a helpful treatment because a tumor is formed by the rapid cell division giving many immature cells. Preventing mitosis will prevent the formation of new cells and hence the growth of the tumor.
