The answer is the advent of a clear self-image.  To simplify, research suggests that the advent of a clear self-image contributes to the end of infantile amnesia. In addition, childhood amnesia which is also named infantile amnesia is the incapability of adults to regain episodic reminiscences before the age of 2 to 4 years as well as the period earlier at age 10 of which adults recall fewer reminiscences that might otherwise be predictable given the way of time.
