The answer is a glossopharyngeal nerve. In addition, the glossopharyngeal nerve which is also known as the ninth cranial nerve is a mixed nerve that transports afferent sensory and efferent motor data. It leaves the brainstem obtainable from the sides of the upper medulla, just rostral which is nearer to the nose to the vagus nerve. There are quantities of tasks of the glossopharyngeal nerve in which are the following:
• Obtaining overall somatic sensory fibers from the pharynx, tonsils, middle earlobe and the posterior one-third of the tongue.
• Obtaining visceral sensory fibers from the posterior one-third of the tongue.
