Even though Culture is more usually reinforced and maintained by conscious and unconscious processes, cultural symbols, performed rituals and other social practices, it can also be perpetuated by arbitrary, coercive and deliberately imposed processes. An example of a deliberately imposed by management situation would be the director of a school setting rules about how the students in the said school should act.
