For this case what you should do is check the points where the function is NOT defined.
The function is not defined for those values where the denominator is equal to zero.
We have then:
y = (x + 2) (x + 4) / (x + 4) (x + 1)
Studying the denominator:
(x + 4) (x + 1) = 0
x = -4
x = -1
Answer:
C. asymtotes: x = -1 and hole: x = -4
