(I’m not sure if the 1st question is correct)

What was a brief goal of their studies?

Darwin thought that evolution took place over hundreds or thousands of years and was impossible to witness in a human lifetime.

What did they observe?

Peter and Rosemary Grant observed evolution happen over the course of just two years.

What did they conclude?

That natural selection can be seen within a single lifetime, or even within a couple of years.
