we know that

diameter of the base of a cylindrical can= 4 in----------> r=2 in
h=6.5 in
[surface area]=2*[pi*r²]+[2*pi*r*h]
then
[surface area]=2*[pi*2²]+[2*pi*2*6.5]=[ 25.13 ]+[ 81.68 ]=106.81 in²

the answer is 106.8 in²
