(13)/(4x) , (27)/(3 x^(2) )

In the least common denominator, LCD, we consider the terms that are in the denominator of the fractions; therefore in this case, our focus will be on:

4x,3x^(2)

Now,
Let us find LCD of the above two terms:

4x = 2*2*
x

3x^(2) = 3*
x^(2)

Therefore, the LCD = 2*2*3*
x^(2) (always go for the highest level exponent for LCD)

Ans: LCD = 12
x^(2)
