The women of the Seneca Falls Convention created a document based on the Declaration of Independence created by American colonists during the 1700's. In this document, the women outlined what rights and beliefs they have about women in American society. They took some of the famous language used in the Declaration of Independence to create the document. A perfect example of this would be the rewording of the preamble. The women changed the phrase "all men are created equal" (from the Declaration of Independence) to "all men and women are created equal>"
