Hello!

To calculate percent increase, we must use a certain formula. The formula is:

[(New Value - Old Value) / Old Value × 100]

Substitute:

[(6,400 - 4,800) / 4,800 × 100] = 33.33333333

Since this is a repeating decimal and we don't want to write all those 3s, simply put a bar above the 3 that's after the decimal point, to indicate that it is a repeating decimal.

ANSWER:

The percentage increase is 33.3%(Repeating).
