Buddhism is an atheistic religion because it has no god.

The Buddha's teachings were about how we as humans should respect each other and the ways we interactct with each other and the world around us, and that although the world we live in is full of dissatisfaction all around the corner, you should always try, knowing that the future has many secrets to hold, and that the world dosn't need a god, to show us that

we can gain happines from holy things, that grant our wishes when we wish them to become true, because life is hard, we learn from that, and use that as a lesson. And as an advantage.

Good ones.

And bad ones.

Hope this helped :)
