Read the passage and tell which dramatic device the passage describes.

The character, alone on the stage, proceeded to talk about how he had, at one time, been very poor and was afraid of ever being in that predicament again. For several minutes, he told the entire story of how he overcame his poverty.

SOS:

This would be a soliloquy!!

*A soliloquy is a speech made by an actor to himself. It is used to explain the true thoughts of a character.

Hope this helps!!

Soliloquy! If the dude goes on & on it's a soliloquy. Shakespeare had a knack for 'em.
