Hey there mate!

So, based from broad info, we need to remember that they always contain very (high pressure) which in this case, it CAN flow toward to equator, but not all the times it does.

This would actually be known the be "westerlies". This would indicate that these high pressured winds would blow from the east and to the west,with once again, high pressure which means that they would do this at a constant speed.

Winds that blow from east to west in the Tropical Region of the Northern Hemisphere are called westerlies.
