Stimuli that are perceived subliminally is called Subliminal Stimuli; literally considered as “below threshold” that is contrary to supraliminal stimuli or above threshold. These are any sensory stimuli below an individual’s threshold for concious perception and this subliminal stimuli activate specific regions of the brain despite participants being unaware through visual stimuli may be quickly appear suddenly before an individual can process them or it will appear suddenly and then masked thereby interrupting the processing and the audio stimuli may be played below audible columes or masked by other stimuli.
