Slope is rise over run. So to figure out the slope of the graphed line we first count the rise, or how many units the top point goes up. It actually goes down 8, so it goes "up" -8 units. Then we count the run, which is simply 1. Finally, we can put rise over run, so divide -8/1 and we get -8. So the slope = -8.
