Answer: False

There are 2 types of amino acids one is essential amino acids that is not synthesized in the body and has to be taken from the food sources.

The other type is non-essential amino acid which is synthesized inside the human body. These amino acids are not found in the foods and is itself made in the body.

Complementary food are food rich in essential amino acids which is not synthesized in the body. It is a combination of two different types of food with incomplete food which can provide all the essential amino acids.

The correct answer is false. While it is true that complementary proteins (combination of two meals with different protein compositions) provide essential amino acids but what makes the answer false is that there are only nine essential amino acids namely phenylalanine, valine, threonine, tryptophan, methionine, leucine, isoleucine, lysine, and histidine.
