There are 5.28 cups of pudding to be put into 6 dishes.How much pudding should be put into each dish to make it equal?

Hello! For this question, all you have to do is divide. Divide like you would any other number by moving 5.28 over two decimals to make 528 and add two 0's behind the 6 to make 600. The division problem becomes 528/600. If you divide correctly, you get 0.88. There. 0.88 cups of pudding should be put into each dish to make the amount equal.

Note: In order to divide decimals, you move the decimal in the divisor (the number the other nimber is being divided by) by whatever amount to make it whole, and then do the same to the dividend by moving the decimal places of that number. Add 0's to the empty spots, and then divide like you would regular numbers. You may not need this now, but if you get questions like this and you can't use a calculator, it will really help.
