Is buffet correct that it is the role of the federal government to make sure people who work will have enough income to live a​ "decent lifestyle"?

Yes, it is.I think it is very fair to say that People who work enough hours should at least should not worry about basic needs such as foods, shelter, education, and health. The government could do this through various programs such as minimum wage of a different variant of welfare programs.
