Divide the shape into different parts. For this on you should find the area of the square separately and then the area of the triangle separately. Then you add th two areas together to find the overall area of the shape.
For the square, a=b*h
a=5.2*5.2
a=27.04

For the triangle, a=0.5(b*h)
a=0.5(7*11.2) for the height of the triangle (11.2) add the three numbers that make up the length of that side (4+5.2+2=11.2)
a=0.5(78.4)
a=39.2
Lastly, add the areas of the triangle and the square together.
27.04+39.2=66.24

The area of the figure is 66.24 meters squared
