1. Less chances of complications during labor
2. More preparedness for at home cases (such as having a crib, clothes, toys, etc.)
3. Making it to the hospital (or any safe place) to give birth that is clean and well suited for well, childbirth.
4. Another one (that you might not even need) is that the parent(s) can be prepared for the baby for when they get home.
