6 * 4x = 24x
6 * 5 = 30
3 * x = 3x
3 * 8 = 24
24x + 30 = 3x + 24 + 3
24x + 30 = 3x + 27
subtract 3x from both sides
21x + 30 = 27
subtract 30 from both sides
21x = -3
divide both sides by 21
x = -1/7
