You've randomly surveyed some students in your science class to find the number of hours per week they study. What is the mean, based on your sample?

STUDENT HOURS

KATY 5.5

MIKE 4.25

SAM 7.75

HOLLY 3.5

JAKE 6.25

Mean=
(Sum Of Hours)/(Number of Students)

Sum Of Hours=5.5+4.25+7.75+3.5+6.25=27.25

Number of Students=5

mean=
(27.25)/(5)

On dividing, 27.25 by 5, we get, 5.45

So, Mean=5.45

Answer: Option (d) : Mean=5..45hours
