The correct answer is - Extremely cold winters and blistering hot summers.

The Gobi desert is the desert that is the northern most of all the deserts in the world. It is situated in the northern part of China and southern part of Mongolia. It's far away from the influence of the sea and that makes it very dry. The most dominant factor that creates the climate in the desert is the continental climate. But it is not a situation where the Gobi desert gets continental climate, but instead it gets the worse out of it, the bad extremely cold and dry winter, and the bad extremely hot dry summer, which made it a desert. In winter the temperatures can drop to -40, while in summer can go up to +40 degrees C.
