Assuming there are no other factors involved here, this is a case of simple addition. 8:45 a.m. + 0:45 + 0:45 = 10:15 a.m.

8:45+45 minutes =9:30am to get ready. Plus 45 minutes to drive 9:30+45 minutes =10:15am.
