The consumer is in the information search stage. During this stage a consumer searches for information to get a better understanding of their available options and to be able to come to a decision better. This information can be gathered from past memories, friends, family, customer reviews or employees.

the stage of the consumer purchase decision process is the problem recognition. This is the stage where in an individual is likely to engage recognizing certain problems in regards of the product the consumer wishes to buy in a way that the individual ask certain questions and tends to recognize factors that may be affected with his or her decision.
