matts dog weighs 30pounds. his dog weighs 20pounds more than his cat. write an equation that could be used to represent c , the weight , in pounds , of matts cat.

Let Matt's dog's weight be x

Matt's cat's weight = c = x + 30

Although if the question has already given the dog's weight, why not just use it? Is there a typo in te question?
