2x+3y=7 (1)
x+y=3
⇒x=3-y (2) substituting (2) in (1)
⇒2(3-y)+3y=7
⇒6-2y+3y=7⇒6+y=7⇒y=7-6⇒y=1
then, we know that: x=3-y ⇒x=3-(1)⇒x=2
