Henry Ford reduced the cost of cars by simply increasing production whilst reducing costs. In 1912, Ford's plant could produce a new car every 93 minutes in an assembly line, 13 years later in 1925 that time had dropped to 10 seconds in an assembly line. By producing more cars he was able to break-even faster and keep costs down which translated to lower costing automobiles.
