The answer is; B

The ice caps are made of ice sheets that are mainly white in color. The white color is known to have a high albedo (a measure of how much light that hits a surface is reflected without being absorbed) hence reflects some of the sun’s radiation back to space. When these ice sheets and caps are lost, this albedo decreases and the earth get a little warmer since more sun rays are absorbed by the earth.
