The Democrat and William Jennings Bryan

The was an excellent spokes person and a politician and he knew how to win people's heart. The Populist supporters were mostly made up of farmers and they had the feeling that the Republic and Democratic party were being control by big institutions like the banks thats why the policies they were making was not in favour of the helpless farmers and as such they needed somebody in the party running for office that would represent their interest.
