so there’s this thing that was the “samurai code” it was called the bushido, it was a series of things that any Jap that fought/ helped in a war had to follow a set of rules. such as, no killing unless confirmable, always treat people with utmost respect etc. (google bushido code) and if these were broken there was a ritual suicide in which you had to commit which was stabbing your self with a knife and pulling it up your heart
