Why did southern farmers oppose Hamilton's plan for the ecomony

Hey there!

This is because they were opposed to have to pay taxes to support the northern states- they wanted nothing to do with the north. As you may know, they used slaves, and during the Civil War time period and beforehand, the North didn't support slaves.
