Hey there! :D

Enlightenment thinkers believed truth could be found through science. The Enlightenment was all about proving truths of the world with logic and reason, rather than from religious or political values. Things were proved with experimentation, rather then what a pope, king, or high authority member of society had to say. Enlighten means to "have eyes opened" or to "no longer be in an illusion." To find an unbiased truth.

I hope this helps!
