What is the difference between 4x and x4? Elavuate both of these expressions when x epauls 2.

4x is substitution and x4 is multiplication

Plug in x for 2.

4x= 4(2)

x^4= (2^4)

Evaluate.

4x= 8 2^4= 16

Now, subtract the difference.

16-8= 4

The difference is 4.
